Curaçao Chess Festival 2008 will be held from July 26 to August 4 2008 in the conference rooms in Flamboyant Center of the Super-Inclusive Superclubs Breezes Curaçao.

Official FIDE international arbiter for this event will be Mr. Trevor Griffith from Barbados.
The tournament consists of a Open and Youth (under 19) group. The event will be a 9 rounds Swiss System run under the FIDE rules of chess. Players will be paired accordingly to the FIDE regulations using the Swiss Master program.
The time control is 1 hour 30 minutes for the whole game with incremental time of 30 seconds per move from move 1.
The money prizes will be divided equally among the players if there is a tie for the 1st place or any subsequent position.
Players are requested to pay registration fees on July 26 at the tournament hall from 9:00 a.m to 12:00 p.m in order to commence their game.
